seatbelts
ordering some Takata 4-Point Seat Belt Harness. Cant wait!! anyone got a pair in their FD?? i was just thinkin would it fit perfectly in the stock seats? because i was thinking of changing my seats to some nice red Recaro ones if the 4-point dont fit.:wallbash:

1. Takata is some SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY overpriced stuff. It is no better than any of the other racing harnesses from big companies (Scroth, Simpson, etc) and costs 3-4 times the amount. That and harnesses expire after a few years. :)
2. Where do you plan on mounting the shoulder harnesses to? 3. Wearing harnesses on the street without a rollbar/cage is NOT a good idea. |
Make sure you get a Harness bar or cage. Otherwise you will die in a crash.

Unless your going to be wearing a helmet EVERYTIME you drive the car... dont get a cage.
Harnessbar is the way to go. |
ohh right..yeh i heard bout that from some people. So does that mean the rear people sitting in the rear seats will be difficult to get in?? i just hope i dont get stopped by the police when they see the bright green harness seat belts=p it may not be llegal in this country(Ireland)!! ahh feck..

Harnessbar is the way to go. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Wearing harnesses for street driving without a rollbar in the car is DUMB. |
I have Takata's in my FD and I have a rollbar :).
Listen to everyone here and take the necessary precautions to be safe if you want to wear harnesses. |
