I debated the custom hood vent box as well. I believe only the VIS replica is open, is began enough of a scoop and won't cost you more in the long run with fitment issues from the rest of the companies. That LSx-7 would have benefited from the VIS version as the air filter is in perfect placement. I also thought about using the air scoop to cool off my radiator since I have a FMIC. It would require some kind of duct to force the air through the radiator.

Personally I like the discreet Seibon version as an uncovered VIS shows the wrong people what's under the hood. I have an RE-A replica, similar but no scoop. It looks like the original Scoot version is to cool off the rear iron since the rear rotor runs hotter then the front.

I guess no one has made a intake box for the VIS open version?

My old Rotary Extreme Scoot was open as well. They were the first, I think
