rx7store resonated mid-pipe

what exactly is the "resonator" that the RX7store uses in their mid-pipes?
Is it a muffler of some type and how free flowing is it?

It's a small muffler. No it's not as free-flowing as a straight-through midpipe. If you have an RB dual tip, a straight-through midpipe works well, and is not all that loud until you get on the gas WOT...

anyone know what size magnaflow muffler? I already have a mid-pipe so I just want to buy the muffler and have it welded in.
