rx7 FD Progress--aspec 500r turbo kit

18 Attachment(s)
so this is about the 3rd time ive wrote this, my laptop keeps crashing and its really starting to piss me off.
anyway, just thought id post some pics of the progress of the rx7 so far, this week ill be waiting on some piping to be welded and that "should" be about it. what a load off my shoulders, its been almost a year and damn im ready for it.
mods recently added: street port, 3mm apex seals, aspec 500r kit, tial wastegate, tial bov, secondary fuel rail, supra fuel pump, aeromotive fpr, thats all i can think of right now. --list at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2229056
id like to thank javier the most for being a badass. you gave me so much guidance and did a great job at porting and rebuilding- matt for helping me put everything together, curtis for welding, and everyone else who helped out [sabastian, justin, jodie, jinka, brandon, larry, etc]
should be running soon, i may just throw the drivers seat in it because my interior is pretty stripped
anyway heres the pics of the engine progress:

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...n292007030.jpg night i was aware of the water seal broke :(

DMoneyRX-7 11-12-07 12:45 AM

Kristyn, I thought you already were running a Greddy T78? Well hmm, when is yours going to be done? Because I am picking my FD up from Pearland around middle of December from getting my GT35R done.

anyway i ran stock twins before this set up, dont remeber considering the greddy t78, but i was considering the gt35r before i came across the 500r

--bet you are looking forward to your fd being done, atleast you'll have one hell of a christmas by having it back :]

I am your friend on myspace and I thought that is what it said on your tagline. I can't remember where I got t78 from though. I think in one of our convo's you said you were thinking about it. I can't remember though....oh and I just commented you on myspace.

very nice!!! I'm saving up to do a single too. do you have a vacume hose diagram for the single conversion? I've searched but I couldn't find it. and thanks for all the pics.

davemo 11-12-07 10:07 AM

looking at big turbos makes me want to cry in my s4 GXL. it's a serious double edged sword because its stock and has 30k original miles and so its sort of like murder to mess with it too much in my opinion.
