The RX-8 AC compressor has been common to use when converting to R-134a systems. The RX-8 compressor has a 4 rib pulley, and I wanted to use a 6 rib design like what was originally on the car. I did trial and error ordering a couple aftermarket ac clutch and pulley kits before finding one that works. Using only the pulley from this kit https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832722867570.html and the rest of the parts from the RX-8 compressor worked best. I've run this setup for 2 years without issue. The videos below show how to remove, install, and verify alignment. Another person can buy the SCSA06C compressor for the Corolla new and try that. For the rest of us who already purchased new RX-8 compressors, there is an option to modify it with the 6 rib pulley.
I believe this is the clutch. I'm not 100% on this, as there is a small difference in the compressor number from the original link, but this is the clutch for the MR2 compressor, so hopefully this would work as well. It's definitely a bit more than the 40 some bucks from the other link, but this shows the part number for the clutch, so maybe it could be shopped around.
I reached out to the company that was listed in the OP’s link and they responded right away with pricing. They can sell just the clutch and pulley, it’s about $28. Shipping is about $43. I’m going to order the part, I will post the results here when I get it.
I received the pulley from the Chinese company; it looks good, but I would recommend changing out the bearing inside the pulley. I don’t trust Chinese bearings, so I’ll get a replacement from Japan.
Had to order two of these pulleys. They stamp the bearing around where the pulley meets the edge, so you could use a Dremel to cut away the material and press the bearing out, but I'm lazy, so I ordered a new one without a bearing installed. The bearings they use are low quality.. I did some research on them. I’m not taking any chances with them failing after 10,000 miles. For anyone reading, try to get NSK or a brand made in Japan, the US, or Sweden. As of this post, sizes of 30x47x20mm are scarce. I had to source one off eBay since places like VXB Bearings are out of stock and mentioned that NSK no longer makes that size. Other suppliers may be phasing out this size too, so good luck with your search.
The other option may be to get the pulley without the bearing, and have it bored out to accept a larger bearing. Or possibly machining a ring to size the pulley bore down to the next common bearing size, but the bearing looks pretty thin already.
Here are some additional details about the installation. It was a straightforward process, thanks to the OP finding the perfect replacement pulley. As shown in the photos, the new pulley measurements are incredibly close to the original, making it a perfect fit. My only concern was the Chinese bearing mentioned earlier. If you're considering this modification, I recommend ordering the Chinese pulley without the bearing installed, as it makes replacing it with a higher-quality option, like the NSK bearing I used, much easier.
Rx8 pulley and clutch clearance, 0.5mm.

When installing the Chinese pulley, I added a 0.25mm. shim to increase the total shim size from 2.50mm (pictured above). to 2.75mm. This adjustment restored the 0.5mm. clearance between the pulley and clutch.
Rx8 pulley, notice the 6 stamp marks.
Chinese pulley, replaced its original Chinese bearing with an NSK bearing made in Japan. I chose not to punch around the pulley to allow for easier bearing replacement in the future. The fit is tight, and I believe the bearing won’t shift in the bore. If you are doing the same thing, it’s up to you to decide to center punch around.

For the AC tensioner pulley, what did you end up using so that it was a 6-rib pulley to match the new 6-rib Rx-8 compressor pulley?
In my particular setup, on an FC, I’m trying to convert to a 6-rib pulley system with the JDLMFG.com alternator/AC side mount bracket in conjunction with the JP3 AC kit. The kit calls for an FD tensioner pulley; however, that is a 5-rib and I need a 6-rib.
Hi, first ever post. I used this thread to gain ideas for reinstalling air conditioning in my 1983 SA22C. RX7
I found this DENSO compressor that comes with a 6-rib belt. A perfect alternative to the 4-rib RX8 compressor, alleviating the need to swap clutch pulleys.
The 6 rib compressor is from a Toyota Corolla - ZZE122R 1.8L Petrol -1ZZ-FE - 2001 - 2007
