On the road FINALLY! Pics
I finally got the car registered and insured after 17 long months of work in my spare time, in between customers, and late night work. I bought it demolished, basically belonging in a scrap heap. It had 32k original miles, but had bosy damage on all panel, all glass was broken including headlights, roof was destroyed, interior was demolished as well, I rebuilt this car with my father who was a mechanic for 40 years. Pics of it before and now are at, the last photos are the newest http://briefcase.yahoo.com/therock_us_2000 Here are the latest pics, ill get engine shots next week. Just wanted to say thanks to all who helped with parts I needed here and there. It still isnt done but its close.

Great job, i admire those who fix up RX-7s, keeps the numbers up. What kinda title are you going to have on this? will it salvage or what?
~Luke |
its a clean title, the car never had any damage report to it, and it was fixed properly, no bondo, etc.
Great to hear that. I admire the work you put into it. It's always good to hear stories like this. Have a great time with the car.
Fuckin nice man! Glad you finally got it finished!
The link won't work for me???
it looks like you put in a lot of time and effort. IT's PAYING OFF!
That looks so good man. I love it even more because you brought it back from the way it looked. How much did you pay for the car itself when you bought it? It's looking very good!
Awesome job! Have any interior shots?
nice... real hard work i suppose!!?! do you have any more clearer shots?? or bigger pix?
you suppose!!!everything had to be redone, the pictures are actually pretty big, and I thought they are clear. If it looks like there isnt much wrong with it its because there isnt! Thanks for the compliments, ill get up some interior and engine pics first thing on monday
hehehe... i was being sarcastic! maybe i should have put a smiley after that... ;)
i did not mention that there is something wrong wiv it!! ... just wondering if there are any bigger pictures i can look at... coz i like the "bomex" pix and i think it look awesome with that body kit!! the pix are 400 x 266 resolution |
Ill try and get some bigger photos, thanks!
You really saved the car from the grave. Good work and hope you enjoy it.

Originally posted by 2manytickets and it was fixed properly, no bondo, etc. Did you use new panels? Or did you repair the sheet metal? Curious since I am about to undertake a restoration project(a Chevy) |
only the roof was replaced, it had to be, the damage cant even be seen that was done to that. Every thing else was heated and massaged, and the holes were welded shut and sanded smooth, thats part of the reason the project took so long
Looks great man! Congrats on finishing such a big project!
Very freakin nice man. how much did you pay for the car?
