RHD vs LHD Headlights...
So I'm trying to do a bit of research for an upcoming project I have brewing.
Does anyone know if there are any differences between LHD and RHD headlights? Specifically; buckets & motors? I know the sealed beams themselves are different and I know the lids and bezels are interchangeable... But what about the buckets and motors? All wiring the same? They install the same? I feel like they should be, but haven't verified. Anyone know for sure? |
Wiring should be the same. As you stated, difference would be just the lenses.

I made the mistake of cheaping out and putting a set of American LHD buckets into an Aussie RHD car here in Australia once.
Worst. Lights. Ever. Don't mix & match RHD & LHD headlights on any car... |

Anyone know for sure? the lenses, im 99% sure. i believe the difference is in the adjusting hardware since LHD and RHD roads are opposite so the travel of the lenses for adjusting would be opposite. i would thing using LHD hardware in a RHD buckets would fix that problem and vice versa. |
LHD Lenses
I switched LHD lenses on to my RHD. Great improvement.
Shop adjusted, so I can't say what issues they may have faced. |
The lenses has to be different, LHD cutoff vs RHD cutoff.
