Replacing One Way Valves on gas tank
So the check valves on the gas tank (not sure if that’s proper name), can I replace them with a regular fuel one way valve? Mine have lost their “one wayness”. I saw some on Amazon for 5/16th hose but I think these are made for fuel vapors, so I didn’t know if they were the same. Thanks for any help!

…..well. They’re about 90$ a piece. So that’s good news lolol I’ll take my chances first with the Amazon ones and see how that pans out. If it doesn’t work they’re only 10$ |
They are probably fine. But remember that if they don't work, a problem with fuel leakage can end up being way more than $10.

I also recommend getting rid of the worm drive clamps.

Get the OE parts from Ray Crowe at Nucar

You can find everything cheaper than Atkins and mazdatrix. I found them for $68 each. Type the part number in google and a bunch of Mazda dealerships come up with the parts. Most are around Atkins price but others are much cheaper. Tascaparts and mazdaswag are what I usually use.

Hate to break it to you but these valves are actually 2 way. I.e they allow different pressures each way . Check the FSM. I wouldn't be replacing them with straight up one way valves
