Removing A/C compressor

how do you remove the A/C compressor? is it as simple as the 4 bolts that you can see (two on top, two on bottom)

what is best, wrench or socket wrench? best way to reach them? is there an easier way?

:i am pulling the engine:

Lift the engine up as far as the lines will let the ac come up then take out the 4 bolts and let the compressor down .Y

Sorry then you can do the power steering the same way remove the 4 bolts from the front and pull it back and let it down. you can do both with out desconnecting the hoses. Put the motor back in the same way. drop the motor in a foot or so above the mount , bolt in the ac and ps , then lower the assembly in to place .

Ok, so I am having a hell of a time trying to get to the bolts on the AC compressor - namely the two bottom ones. Hell, I only see the top two ones, which I already loosened, but how the hell do I get to the bottom ones? The space is so small that I would need a gnome to crawl between the compressor and shock tower to get to them, not to mention that I can't even see the bottom ones. I tried crawling under the car, but I can't see them there either since the subframe is blocking. So does anyone have tips? What tools did you use? My socket wrench can't even fit in there!

Thanks in advance.
