Relocating fuel filter, is this the place to put it?

I will be relocating the fuel filter because all of you know why. I was wondering where is the best place to put it? I was thinking the line marked "fuel" on top behind the UIM, this seems to be the easiest place to install it. Any other suggestions? .......Is this the line i want, it attaches to the backside of the TB?

Um...you do know that's the throttle body coolant line, right?

No do not put it there. Here is the proper place to put it. Make sure you use high pressure fuel line designed for fuel injection. If you want to get fancy you can drill and tap the subframe and use the stock bracket to mount it.

What made you think fuel went into our throttle bodies?

Because it says "Fuel" on his hose.

:) Do yourself a favor and buy a shop manual for your car . . . .

It's a good thing you asked the forum. That would have sucked. Rotary Experiment Seven did mine about 2 years ago and I'm very happy with my 5 minute fuel filter changes :)

Would it be possible for you to do a simple write up of the materials and process you used to move the filter?

I did a write up about this a couple years ago if you search. There isn't much to it except getting the stock filter out of its location which can be a pain. All you really do is replacew the hoses and extend them down through the openings of the subframe. Make sure you use the right hose and secure it so it doesn't rub on anything.
