Really Really weird ignition problem?

Ok I searched and I couldnt find anything related. This happens occasionally about once a month, but recently its happening alot more. Car starts up fine, but when you turn the ignition off the car is still running! So I can fully take out the key and the car is still running. To turn it off i have to turn it to acc than off like 100 times than it finally shuts off. Than once it was completly off, I put it in acc and than to turn it off to make sure everything was ok and it did it again. All the accessory lights were still on once the key was removed. The only way I was able to fix that was to disconnect the negative and than reconnect. I really cant afford this happening especially if I am running late somewhere. So I was either thinking I need to clean my ignition, or that it could be a battery related issue. I read to clean all the terminals with a wire brush and clean up the battery, so I will try that again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the ignition switch is screwed. elec contacts not opening, yes this can cause a drain also as some systems that should be "off" now see power so the battery died. charge the battery investigate the ignition switch. no turbo timer or anything correct?

no turbo timer, my alarm wires got fried last week though. The wires got stretched since i put new doors on, thus leaving just the copper wire, i didnt notice this to after. So it sparked and burned all my alarm wires, I didnt see any other wires burned though. But the ignition thing started before that so I dunno. I am really worried because next week the 7 will become my daily driver again.
