i recently installed a Koyo rad (regular one, not the n-flow) got it locally new for $280 plus install.

im awaiting a new undertray delivery, but i according to my PFC, the koyo with NO undertray keeps my car cooler (87 in fl heat) than the stock radiator WITH undertray...no other changes.....with the undertray installed, temps will drop even more!

i guess the old stocker was clogged up and not working as efficiently as it should.

one thing to keep in mind: your car is only going to run as cool as your thermostat allows it to.

On cold nights my car hovers at right around 79-80C (where my T-stat starts to open). My fans are set to kick in at 85C so on warm days the car hovers at 85C. A while back I purchased a T-stat from my local dealership and my car immediately after the install was running hotter (93-95C). It was obvious that it opened at a later temp and my fans (set at 85) were fighting a losing battle. Basically as the fans would cool below the tstat temp, it would naturally close and heat up the car, once opened the fans would cool it again only to repeat the cycle… So I called at Ray at malloy mazda and he got me the tstat I needed. And just like that 85C once again :)
