Stocker since I bought the car in 2004. Though apparently the plastic end tanks will explode any day now. :)

IRRC, they usually don't explode (I know you were being funny), but more often start to leak from the seals between the end-tanks and the core.

My stocker cooled OK but developed a hairline crack in the lower tank at 139,000mi. at about age 10yrs. It would seep coolant when hot & under pressure.

Car now has a Fluidyne in a custom V-mount.

I got a Koyo with a Greddy FMIC, fit no problem.

Montego 08-13-10 02:09 PM

^^As it should since you relocated the IC and rad.

The only time koyos have fitment issues is when the car has an upgraded medium sized or larger SMIC

Somewhere along the way people began to think that the FD rad is inadequate. As you said the stocker cools just fine.. but they crack in the plastic ends :(

Custom made Ron Davis radiator. Basically, it's the old design for the Knight Sports V-Mount radiator, when they were still being made by Ron D.

I'm a cheap bastard and I don't mine making things fit. LOL! :) Ebay Acura Integra aluminum two row radiator. Less than $100.00 shipped to my door brand new.

KKMpunkrock2011 08-13-10 08:45 PM

that with your 20b?

t-von 08-15-10 11:36 AM

^ Yep! Remember ducting is key with any radiator. Without it, even the most well known units will be useless.

radiatorworld race rad, costed $279 shipped back when I got it in 2005. Has been perfect, running Evans with no-pressure since then, never had cooling problems even in over 90F ambient and 100% humidity (PR)

Koyo, with a stock intercooler, took some work to get it to fit.

any one have any info in the Rotary-works.com radiator? its $209 bucks. I really don't want to cheap out on a radiator, but on the other hand if it works well then I can spend the other $200-300 on something else.

I search all over the forum and couldn't find anything.

koyo...cooling is great. install wasnt bad at all.

TRWeiss1 08-16-10 11:30 AM

Fluidyne, FTW. :)

1QWIK7 08-17-10 07:56 PM

OEM.

Dont know if its original but i never had a cooling problem and i have a FMIC.

Running peak 50/50 mix.

If and when it breaks, ill go with aftermarket but in the meantime im leaving it.
