Which Radiator do you have?

I have been searching and have yet to come across a radiator poll. I thought it might be a good idea just to see which is the most popular choice, along with that it may help with the divided desicion of which radiator is better.

Thank you for participating!

I'm using a PWR. Fits great, does the job for me.

Rx-7Addict 11-11-04 09:23 PM

the PWR and fluidyne are identical, and the PWR is about $30 cheaper.. I went with the PWR.. The other big company is Koyo, but aparently its more of a problem with fitment vs. the pwr/fluidyne

RX7 RAGE 11-11-04 09:33 PM

Koyo here and it was a PITA to install.....didn't help that I had a PFS SMIC and it pushed the duct up. :(

DavidR 11-11-04 09:43 PM

My Koyo didn't fit with my PFS parts either. It was a huge PITA although I heard some other setups don't have this problem. Would have been a drop in without Peters parts.

My new Koyo is set up for V-mount. The craftsmanship is great on this unit.

Black97VR4 11-11-04 09:58 PM

I have the Koyo. I haven't driven the car yet so I can't comment on how well I like it.

re_rotary7 11-11-04 10:01 PM

pwr. fits and works great.

cover8 11-11-04 10:08 PM

pwr

RacerX_IU 11-11-04 10:36 PM

koyo fit no problem for me and its cheaper and bigger then the fluidyne

Echoratz 11-11-04 11:27 PM

RE Suzuki 11-12-04 12:39 AM

I have KOYO with Greddy SMIC.
Installation was like eating sushi for the first time.
Hesitant at first, but once it's in your mouth its delicious. ;)

RooR 11-12-04 03:57 AM

Fluidyne

RotaSpinna69 11-12-04 06:52 AM

I should be getting the Koyo soon. I dont know why everyone makes a fuss about it fitting correctly, I mean, how many parts have you bought that didnt fit first try?

RecKleSs 11-12-04 06:58 AM

I've been using the Fluidyne for a few years and never had any problems. There were no fitment issues when it was installed using the stock ic and the GReddy 3 row ic. It's a great radiator, welds are done properly, and I would definitely recommend the Fluidyne radiator.

SR Motorsports I believe just put their logo on top of another radiator and is claiming that it was developed by them. You can do a search on SR and find many threads about their fake products.

Scrapiron7 11-12-04 07:29 AM

KOYO here.

fastcarfreak 11-12-04 07:38 AM

koyo, it was nice and cheap compared to most of the others. The also offered free shipping with it :)

neit_jnf 11-12-04 08:10 AM

stock heh

KaiFD3S 11-12-04 09:34 AM

koyo, since it is what came with the v-mount

dpankros 11-12-04 04:10 PM

Koyo here too (with no installation problems, BTW).

adam c 11-12-04 04:49 PM

Fluidyne, because I didn't want to deal with fitment issues. Stock should be listed as an option.

oorx7 11-12-04 04:51 PM

I'm going to go v-mount this winter. now I have the stock one(other). since I will have to customize the install anyway I will be going with the koyo. I am thinking that the inlet and outlets have to be repositioned and rewelded for maximum efficency, is this true?

jpandes 11-12-04 05:08 PM

Koyo running Evans NPG+ Coolant

SR uses a Koyo and they put a metal plate in front of the koyo sig, I found that out when it was removed from my car.

RICKRX7 11-12-04 05:35 PM

Other, because I have the oem radiator.

FstFD3SPOWER 11-12-04 05:38 PM

DeviousDevice7TT 11-12-04 05:43 PM

Julian 11-12-04 05:48 PM

Fluidyne, good fit, good quality and good cooling

darkphantom 11-12-04 05:49 PM

PWR someone intrest me into buying it because of its weight!

rescueranger 11-12-04 06:10 PM

fluidyne .. but if i could go back id probably get a koyo (cheaper and bigger volume) .. fluidyne was not a perfect fit as everyone on the board seems to say (thats why i got it in the first place)

1QWIK7 11-12-04 06:22 PM

right now stock but im going with the v-mount setup over the winter so..

Fd3BOOST 11-12-04 08:16 PM

papsmagu 11-13-04 07:43 AM

fluidyne

SkulkR1 11-13-04 10:32 PM

Koyo, was a tough fit with a M2 SMIC because of the thickness.

Julian 12-20-04 12:04 AM

Fluidyne. Went in easy fits well with big SMIC

Ka Kui 08-12-10 11:25 AM

Replacement OEM (at 99K miles). See pics in post #36 of this forum thread.

DaveW 08-12-10 01:17 PM

Voted "other" since I have the OEM radiator, replaced a few years ago as a precaution.

I should have a FEED one coming in soon for myself.

hades 08-12-10 06:21 PM

thanks for the link.

I have worked with Thermal Dynamics-Fluidyne's parent company-at work, so I am pretty confident in their quality and performance. I don't know a lot about the Ron Davis radiator - just as good? How is the fitment, quality and performance compared to the Fluidyne? I have no desire to flip, cut, bend factory brackets to make a radiator fit. Its not a big deal to do it - I just don't want to.
