Quick panel question

Can I take a touring rear interior panel and knock out the "pockets" and install a base model grill for a rear speaker install ?

I would never think Mazda would make the opening sizes any different. The trim plate on the tourings is just that, so the grill will snap into its place. Also, if you get some good looking 4-Way 6x9's you can put them in, and just put the touring trim plate back on.
