good price. Too bad I can't afford it :( I wish I didn't spend that much on the damn rebuild kit which went down the drain :(

Where are you at with your Turbo situation??

BoOsTin FD 04-22-04 06:27 PM

well, as I told you my 2nd turbo is probably the one that's messed up again. I bought just a turbo cartridge with around 40k on it, which seems to be in good condition, and i'm going to swap it in a week. Hopefully it won't smoke no more.

The reason i think it's my 2nd turbo is because I did the rebuild on that one. Primary is still stock, as it never smoked before. I don't know if you remember, but i rebuilded both of them and that nut that holds the wheels fell of, messing up my primary turbo completely. So I put back stock primary that i had which was in good condition and 2nd turbo that I rebuilded.

Funny thing about all this, is I still lost a pound or 2 by the redline. I didn't get smoke then when i put it on as I had a cat in place. However as soon as I switched to a midpipe, Hoping to fix my boost issue, I had a bunch of blue smoke.

So... I'm going to put this one i bought and hopefully i'll have 12-10-12 for the first time since I have owned this car :(

Sorry for writing too much :)

Turbo rebuild

Was going to try to rebuild my turbo's my self, then I seen your thread, and i'm glad I read all the way through. The set of turbo's you sent off to TC, do they still run good? If so, please pm me back with the number to TC so I can also send mine off... Also, I was planning on buying all my seals and bearings from mazda, do you see this being money well spent?
