questions about primary injector rail

ok the attached image isnt my picture, but aparently it shows what im missing.. (pretty much everything that seals the rail to the block.)

My first question the # 1 seals in the picture, are these the injector grommets i read about? they look like the main seals to keep fuel in and air out. Can i get this from an autoparts store? Or use like a 10mm hose cut to length as ive seen people do with aftermarket rails? or an o-ring or 2? i rather not have to order parts cause i like to get things done quickly.

#2 and #3 i'm missing entirely. Are they even needed? what happens if you done use them?

#3 is the diffuser right? what does it even do? and #2 is obviously an oring to seal the rail to the diffuser.

#1 - I would get all parts from Mazda to make sure you have the correct size. Ray will get the "proper" parts out to you quickly. He can even do overnight shipping if you want to pay for it.

#2 &#3 are recommend for stock injectors. Most people remove them when using larger injectors however they are to help atomize the fuel better.

#3 goes by diffuser or air bleed socket depending on which page of the manual you are looking at. ;)

Just grab the parts numbers from this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-archives-73/injector-removal-reconditioning-replacement-232603/

and call Ray. It's better to do it right once, than to have to back through it later to fix another issue from not using the proper parts.

Good luck.

well i went ahead and ordered 2 new diffusers and the rubber seal things, they sure dont give them away. like 59 dollars with shipping. if i wasnt in such a hurry i would have tried to source some used diffusers on here.

ok i got my parts today, which way do the defuser/air bleed sockets go in? or do they only fit one way? i havent tried yet but it seems like they could go in any kind of way, just want to make sure i install them correctly.

There should be a little notch to line them up.

Alright thanks i'll check that out when i get to the house

well there doesnt seem to be a notch.. i managed to put one in one way and the other in another way lol. ill check the FSM to see if i can make sense of something. Otherwise if someone knows the proper way to put the diffusers in. # 3 in the above picture. that would be great

Got it. The notch was further down. Also a little white dot goes to the side closest to the throttle body for future installers
