Question about map sensor.

I recently got my car back from a shop, it was running like **** and I found the map sencor was disconnected. Is it likley to damage the engine by driving it with the map sencor disconnected? What exactly does the map sencor do?

As I said in your other thread, NO.

It senses the pressure at the manifold which is part of the equation for the ECU to know how much fuel it needs to provide. With it disconnected, the ECU goes into a limp mode as it cannot get a proper reading.
