Question?

Ok when I put car in nutrual and let out the clutch it makes this knocking sound, like when i'm at a stop light. But when in push in the clutch the sound goes away. At first i thought my engine was fucked, now I'm thinking it might be the trans. What do you guys think? This doesnt occur while i'm drving only when I'm not moving with the clutch out in nutruel.

Sounds like your throwout bearing is bad. It's new clutch time.

I had the same thing with my car except it was a whirring sound. When i went to go replace my clutch i also replaced the throwout bearing (and there was no signs of wear or damage). A knocking sound is worse, i suggest you get it checked out as there is possibility of input shaft damage.

If you hear wirring or clunking noises when the clutch pedal is out, I think the problem is with the transmission input shaft bearing or with the pilot bearing, not the throwout bearing. The throwout bearing is under load when the pedal is in, not out.

It makes like a knocking sound. at first i thought it was the engine. Then I realized it only makes the noise when the clutch is out, As soon as i push clutch down the noisee stops. Also I have another problem. My car is dropping revvs, Like when i'm accelerating it will go up to like 6krpm and then drop to 3-4 and then i let off gas. COuld this be becasue I need to change fuel filter. I've never scence this happin with any car before. I already paid for fuel filterand it will be changed in couple days.. It hasn't been changed in 4-5 years.

No offense joeyz87, It sounds like your car has multiple problems that sound very major, I have been following some of your threads and I suggest you take it to a certified rotary mechanic and have a diagnostic done and tell him all the problems you have had, knowing the way the car is being used and acting you are just setting yourself up for the worst. You need someone trained and knows this car to look at it. Doesn't sound good. Give up on trying to do this yourself, you are in way over your head (don't ask me how I know), your car needs love, it dosen't like the job and is probably trying to tell you something. Take it in. There has to be multiple shops in your area that are highly qualified. Check the West Forum for who people recommend. Good Luck
