Push button start, electrical problems

Ok i got everything wired up the way the write up says to do it, except i am using the stereo's power and ground... Everytime i shut the car off the next time i turn it on, my radio resets and my trip meter resets. ANy ideas?

Don`t use the stereo`s power and ground wires.

i kinda figured that, but where else is there to tap into, i dont really want to tap the cruise control... and also i cant start the car with the key is it supposed to be this way? its starts fine with the button though....

since you took teh cig. out..use the cig. power source..that is what I did....perfect...no need to run extra wires
