Pulling engine without tranny question

Is it necessary to remove or loosen the ppf nuts to the transmission to raise the tranny when removing the engine only?

nope but you do need to fully pop the pull-type clutch attachment ring inside the bellhousing or you will never get the tranny to seperate from the engine. you can also just unbolt the pressure plate but i find it easier to do the pull ring.

Long screwdrive in the passenger side access hole, push the ring toward the engine. No need to loosen the PPF.

Thanks guys.

The release bearing is already separated from the flywheel. I didn’t want to loosen the ppf bolts at the tranny or rear because the last time I was getting some vibrations around the tranny tunnel.

So when I raise the tranny there won’t be any issues with the ppf bolts torqued???.

Eric good luck with the car sale.
