Pull the Diff: How to?

I'm going to replacing my diff tonight with a used kaaz unit tonight. The kazz is already in a seperate pumpkin and ready to be bolted in, but I think the diff may be a little harder to remove than i first thught. Does know the steps of what needs to be removed in what order to pull the diff? Or any helpful hints that will make this easier?

Thanks,
zinx

Its actually fairly easy. I removed the entire rear out of my car to install a 88 T2 diff, derrilin bushings and powder coat everything while I was at it. I will scan the section of the manual for you.

The information is on page (M-27 of section M) 28 of this section. Its not hard, but it is heavy. If you have a motorcycle/ATV jack or transmission jack its alot easier

Unhappy

The stock diff is great for road racing, but eats itself up once you start turning up the power. S4 turbo2 diffs are alot stronger but are better for strait line than cornering. T2 diff was alot cheaper than the KAZZ, but eventualy I think that the GURU racing diff is the way to go. Good luck with the swap.

I got a good deal on the Kazz and it came with the entire pumpkin and that mount bar (in the middle pic above, where the mounts are held) with pettit racing mounts already installed.

The job is fairly easy and straight forward. You just gotta take off the axels, driveshaft, the power plant nuts that holds onto the Diff., and the diff. mount bolts. Pretty much a straight forward job.

We removed the diff last night, it wasn't too bad, the hardest part was removing the axles from the stubs, but I was wondering if we did this correctly? Would it have been easier to remove the stubs from the diff without removing the rubber boot or anything?
