Proper Compression Reading????

What would be a good compression reading for a 93 R1 with 115000 miles on it??? Any info would be great!

7kgf/cm2 or 100psi is the minimum compression for the FD. i think it can be as high as 9, but shouldn't vary by more than 1.5 per side. thats straight from the manual. if its the original engine and is above minimum i'd say thats awesome for a 115k engine!

The "maximum" (ie factory new spec) is 8.5kg/cm^2 according to the shop manual. Also, after '93 the manual was changed to make the minimum 6.0kg/cm^2. I personally know of people in the 6s running around just fine, although the general consensus is that the seperation between chambers is more important than the absolute numbers. Make sure you ask what units they are using, sometimes it is reported in psi, and i've heard of one case where the dealer used a 1-10 scale, which is misleading.
