Lightbulb Primary boost problems

Got my car back together with a Petit rebuit turbo unit, K&N filter (in airbox) new mid cat and down pipe. 64MM pill in the wastegate actuator line and a 60MM pill in the precontrol line.

Problem is now my mileage is about 3 mpg down from before (same driving conditions) and my primary boost tops out at about 7 psi (8 psi) if its cold out) don't see much of a drop before secondary kick in. Secondary quickly rises to 12lbs.

Does anybody have a short list of ideas that are causing this primary boost level problems?

Thanks

Could be a bunch of things. Could be that if the boost is very strong when the 2nd turbo kicks in (like you said) the precontrol door is open a little. This would route exhaust from the primary turbo keeping it from twisting up all the way?

Is there a solution to this? I'm having the same problem except that i get low boost when the engine is hot (7 or 8psi).

OK, good idea, I was thinking maybe its a soleniod problem (oh god, how do test those?). I wonder if the precontrol actuator rod was put out of adjustment during the turbo rebuild. (the turbo housing were a little out of alignment with Y-pipe and I had to tap on them to get them to rotate into alignment with Y-pipe. No big deal but for $2K for the rebuild I wasn't real happy).

Does the tech manual have anything on this. Best 80 bucks I ever spent.

There are 4 things you can do:
1)Manually adjust precontrol rod
2)Install smaller pill
3)Install Home Depot Racing valve
4)Go non-sequential

Choose..............wisely

Home depot racing valve?!?!? Is there a thread on this? Do you mean an adjustable needle valve instead of the pill?
