15k sounds about right.

It was garage kept it's entire life and the underbody was retardedly clean. None the less, every bit of rubber on the car was shot and when I took off the upper intake manifold it seemed like everything was just crumbling when touched. So in my opinion no matter how well kept the car is, as soon as something small breaks it's going to turn into a lot of small things to get replaced along with it.

I picked up my 93 VR touring with 40k for 14,700. The motor and underbody was super clean. He had receipts for the work done and it started and ran almost perfect(dead turbo control solenoid). Reliability mods, Azeknights solenoids, downpipe, and some love and she runs amazing. I feel I got her for a steal at 14,700 as book value was closer to 17! I would much rather pick up an all stock unmolested car over a modded one. Unless the previous owner was freakishly like me and had receipts for everything and did everything I would have, I wouldn't spend as much on a modded 7. I believe the stock ones always sell before a big single will. And most of the time for a better price if the miles are low.

Both happy and sad for you....but there are plenty of other cars out there!

There are still a few nice, stock, low-mileage cars out there that should command a decent price. The problem comes from trying to make a fast sale. No one can get a full loan for the amount asked for some of these, so your market shrinks to those with either cash on hand for the full amount or at least enough to make up the loan difference. Personally I think the $15K figure sounds about right, and it is enough to keep the riff-raff away.

Good to hear a potential buyer is lined up.

Here's the biggest shit of it. Now my WIFE doesn't want me to sell it! Unbelievable...

if the engine has never been cracked open then it will soon be due. and as many people mentioned, low mile cars usually have skeletons in their closet that you may not even know about.

yes, many people are on crack when they say unmodified cars should have better resale value, resale value depends on how well the car was maintained and/or repaired/upgraded.
