poor mans oring fix
been reading up on the poor mans oring fix ..
3 bottles of crc block weld 1 gallon of purple power degreaser went to pep boys to look for that stuff .. couldnt find it closest thing to crc block weld i could find was title "crc block seal" are they the same thing? also what the heck is purple power degreaser? i cant find that at all .. can someone help me out here .. what brand is it? |

purple power degrease i believe is similar to castrol's super cleaner & degreaser. both are in a purple bottle (so is the chemical). VERY strong stuff btw

I, along with many others here, have done this and it does work, though it ultimately is a semi-temporary fix at best. And you risk having your heater core COMPLETELY plug up. But it DOES work, I went over a year on it.

I highly reccomend fixing it the right way. It's better in the long run. You'll thank me in a few years.

yeah i plan on getting a rebuild .. but this is just a temp fix so i can try to save up for it
