Please Help!!!! Having Problems!!

Ok, I finally got my boost guage installed. If anyone can help please do!!! The car is a 1994 RX7 Touring. Ok, it was idleling at about 1500rpm. The pre-control and wastegate seleniods had the electrical connections unplugged. After I plugged them back in, it now idles at 1250. The whole time it still idles a bit rough, not too bad, just sputters every once in a while, but more when it warms up. Now that the boost gauge is installed I can see what is actually going on!!

There is absolutely no boost until about 3000rpm, when it abrubtly shoots to about 9 sometimes 11 psi, then at about 4400rpm it goes back down to around 5psi. Also, ever since I installed the boost guage, it backfires a bit more. The only mods done to this car are the ones it had when I got it, Which is straight exhaust from the pre cat back. Is it a vacuum problem? If so would it be easier to just remove all the lines and seleniods and go non-sequential?
Any Help Is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

This sounds like a vacume probelm. You would probably solve it by replacing all the vacume lines with silicone hoses. Thats my guess at least.

Make sure you hooked the solenoid connectors to the correct solenoid. I believe one of them has a white dot of paint on it and the connector. I think it is vaccum related as well. However the boost spike/creep issue may be unavoidable without a main cat or high flow.( or the correct fix ECU) .....Replace any broken or non-functioning check valves as well with the vaccum hoses.Good luck!
