Please help!!!!

My money pit has just developed a new problem. It was flooded so I fixed that (changed oil, new spark plugs) and took it for a drive. The car had no power at all. If I gradually speed up it would go past 3000rpm, but as soon as I step on it the car just shutters and holds. It feels like it is flooding itself. It happens in every gear. If I get up to speed and higher rpms (very slowly) and down shift it doesn't stall, but once again as soon as I touch the gas it does the same thing. Any ideas are welcome. I'm new to the rotory world and very frustrated.

Your car is in "Limp Home Mode." Reset your ECU(disconnect the negative battery terminal for 30 seconds while pressing the brake pedal) and see if that helps. Your MAP sensor's vacuum hose might also be disconnected check that. It is a black little box on the firewall behind the Throttle body.

The MAP sensor has a sticker on it that says "Sensor Boost" or somesuch, just in case you have trouble finding it.
