People with Rx8 shift *****

I wanna know if you guys know does the threads start right at the bottom part of the **** or does it start more inside the ****?

Reason being is because i cut my stock shifter so it can have a low profile. Right now i have a razo shift **** but i dont like it anymore. I wanna get an rx8 **** again but i forgot where the threads start.

I basically want it to sit low, just like the rx8.

So if anyone can tell me or show me a pic of the inner threads, ill greatly appreciate it.

Btw, i didnt know where to post this thread so i figure here since more FD guys get rx8 shift *****.

Thanks

The threads start _at least_ half way through the ****.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. However, most people with the FD and the RX-8 **** complain that the **** sits too high.

I ended up cutting down my short shifter to get it to look "right". If you already have it cut, I think you will like how it looks. Also, the **** has a good weight to it so it seems to make up somewhat for the increase forced need to move the shifter.

If you do a search under my name I should have some pics of my interior.

You know at the bottom of the **** where the threads are?

Some shift **** threads start right from there, some shift **** threads start in the middle of the **** so it can sit low on the shifter.

Thats what i was asking about the rx8 ****. Does the thread start right at the bottom or in the middle or higher so i can determine how low it will sit on my shifter.

I cut my shifter so much to the point where theres only 3/8 of an inch sticking up before it turns into the fatter part of the post.

Here is what i have now.

That shift **** thread start right at the bottom so thats why its low but NOOTTT as low as i wanted.

IIRC the rx8 **** threads start a bit higher so when i thread it on, it will sit lower than the **** in the pic.

But i want someone to confirm before i go ahead and buy it again.

Thanks

Ok cool thanks, i think that **** will suit me well then. I want it nice and low.

Red thingie is just the cover for my toggle switch for my MBC.

Toggle down = low boost

Toggle up = high boost
