paint code - SSM Clearcoat

hi all,

i'm curious... i understand that the paint applied to the 1993 RX-7 was a bit problematic. if the paint was changed a bit in the following years, did the paint code change too or just the 'formula'?

i am going to paint a R1/R2 rear spoiler to match a '94 SSM Clearcoat and have found both '3L' and '4G' as paint codes. clearly the number on the door jam should be the number to go with... just curious.

thanks again.

Series 6 (USDM) FD3S RX-7

* Silver Stone Metallic Clearcoat 3L/4G

well if your car has never been repainted, you would probably be better off just having a professional color match it, the correct color code is gonna look different then the rest of the body panels because no mater how much you've taken care of it, it will have faded
