Hank, who is talking about heim joints etc? The outer tie rod ends are pretty basic. OEM works just fine even for those who make double stock power and go out on the road course. I don't see many horrible responses, but I do see yours which really doesn't address his original post :)

I do like those wicked steering rack boots though.... I'll have to keep those in mind, thanks for posting about them :icon_tup:

Ha! Sorry, no snake oil here :asian:
Fact is, in almost every case, serviceable parts are better than non-serviceable parts.
Man, i ordered some brand new rack boots from imc and put only about 2k miles on them and they were already cracking and torn in some spots. I was not impressed with what were allegedly oem replacement boots. Those wicked ones have some very nice design improvements. I use them on my s14 with MASSIVE powered by max steering angle increases and they take it no problem. And they are cut to size.

P.s. IM SORRY! I didnt mean to offend with the snake oil thing!!! FORGIVE ME!!!!!!!!!

Well got the Moog outer tie RSS in today from rockauto.com I was pleasantly supprised to see manufactured in Japan. Which is probably same plant that manufactures Mazda OEM ones. Look to be outstanding quality.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I ran into an issue whenever I ordered Moog tie rods from rockauto. I know the thread originally talked about outer tie rods only, but this thread convinced me to buy both inner and outer tie rods from the same place. Before you buy your inner tie rods from rockauto READ THIS!

Inside the Moog box are genuine mazda parts, awesome if they would have fit. According to rockauto, the inner tie rod is the same for 93-95 rx7's. However, the thread pitch and length is different for 93 inner tie rods and 94-95 inner tie rods. Their respective part no.'s are FD01-32-2400 & FD01-32-240B. They are not interchangeable. Rockauto sent me the 94-95 inner tie rod.

Hopefully this will save someone the headache of having to return a part.
