Mine just turned 84, on her original heart. Her turbos are sagging a bit and leaking a little milk on her primary...so sad...

The Driver 12-13-07 02:18 PM

I just turned 50 :)

WHat is the worth of a sub 40k mile FD? I have a 95 135k and it sucks to drive that car with the shity roads around.

I was wondering if replacing all bushings and getting rid of the stiff differntial solid ones will help. Congrats BTW.

phinsn98 12-14-07 05:23 AM

Ian your catching up to me :)

jdhuegel1 12-14-07 10:52 AM

Shit - I was on my 3rd engine by then. :)

pdtaylor18 12-14-07 01:35 PM

I would like to be in terested in the mileage and in a way I am but then I only see it as the climb towards a rebuild. Maybe I am just cynical when I see rebuilds at 30K, 40k, 60k etc. Then most important to me is how many miles since the rebuild !! But many happy returns on her 40th.

bryant 12-14-07 01:37 PM

^^?? speak english please.

Verbal 12-14-07 01:52 PM

not fair.

Turbo boosted7 12-14-07 04:42 PM

Congrats. I'm at the 60K with my 2000.

FutileLover 12-14-07 09:42 PM

yea i held my breath breaking 100k

but supposedly had engine rebuild before 60k

Red '94 R2 mostly stock except downpipe

daily driver for last 13kmi (since owned), cant live a day without boost

running strong but uber paranoid... oil smoking on top of rear turbo, all rubbers air/water hoes need to be replaced

at 40k... hasn't even gone through puberty yet. good to know there are still some low mileage cars out there

Falstave 12-15-07 07:44 AM

I had been dreading hitting 70k (k's not miles) watching everytime i drove it from about 67. I knew 2 days before i was gonna hit it going home from work and was looking forward to getting a picture of it.. Unfortunately my workmate happened to be ehading the same way on his motorbike and while playing around i forgot.... the picture is 70003... I almost cried :(

tytyguy 12-15-07 02:00 PM

congratulations

BenjiRX-7 12-15-07 02:10 PM

that reminds me trying to take a picture of 333 333 km on my ford festiva, and 123456 km on my mazda mx3... I failed both of them :wallbash:

waiting for the 100k km on the FD :lol2:

ehos 12-15-07 02:49 PM

Just babies! Mine turned 210. Do you guys actually drive your FD's?

And this in a place where it snows 5 months of the year!

210 km is about 130 miles. thats still a lot more than the people taking bout their 40 and 50k on this topic

but man you have 336 000km on an FD, thats crazy!! :scared:

can you imagine how many thousands liters of fuel that car has burned ? :lol2:

turboIIrotary 12-15-07 05:01 PM

mine hit 120000 miles but i think she is dying :(

thewird 12-15-07 05:01 PM

If my engine lives to that I'll be happy. Its currently at 155,000 KM (93,000 miles). Its gonna do some serious track time next year.

BigWillieStyles 12-16-07 07:52 AM

haha...mines done 69,700 kilometres and its a 93 model. Its getting close to 70,000kms, im getting really nervous. 69 sounds young, 70 sounds old.

RXPRESS 12-16-07 09:12 AM

Mine's at 145,000 miles and still going strong. Oh, that's right, on its 3rd engine. No problem, I still love it. Repainted a couple of years ago, wheels powder coated a nice competition silver metallic to match my Z06 wheels. Still gets lots of comments and people can't believe it's 14 years old. I'll never part with this car. Purchased the 93 R1 new from the dealer in April, 1993 for $26,970. Best money I ever spent on a car...
