Check connection on back of pressure sensor.

Bad_Karma7 12-30-05 07:31 PM

Sensor went out, it's right below the oil filter.

Check the connection. Clean it off, dab some dielectric grease on the connector.

IIRC, mine cost about $65 from the local dealer a few years back. Malloy Mazda may be able to beat that price, however.

Ask for Ray Crowe at the mazda parts department. His number is 703-490-8170 or 1-888-533-3400.

It was a while since I replaced that unit, wasn't too much, under $100 (call Ray; Maloy Mazda). I get every stock part from Ray, so much that he doesn't even need to ask me for my last name to look up my account. :squint:

Mine did the same thing as yours before it died. I tried cleaning the contact...didn't work. Think those units are prone to failure. Read a few people here replacing and it went out in a few months. Mine hasn't given me any more trouble...and I replaced that a few years ago.

The sender needs cleaning. Common issue.
