you know if you have used connectors you can always pop the pins out, put the soldering tip on the pin to melt the old solder and resolder in the new wires and it'll be like new...that's what i did when i put my msd box on my leading coil.

The problem is that some of them are made by Sumitomo, which happens to have insanely high minimum order quanties, and no real distribution network. For instance one of the connectors they wanted 1000pc minimum order on the body, with a 40,000 piece min on the terminals

The Sumitomo connectors that are used are the DL sealed series you will recognize them when you see them. Here is a link to the catalog. Let me know if you have any luck buying from them. http://www.seaps.com.sg/pdf/n_dl_e.pdf and a handful are the TS sealed series http://www.seaps.com.sg/pdf/d_ts_e.pdf |

Sumitomo is factory direct, there are no distributors. I have been in and know people in the connector business for over 15 years. There is a small outfit called Senko that claims to be able to distribute, however it is only after they receive express written permission from Sumitomo to sell to any particular company. This is granted by contacting Sumitomo, we do have permission to buy, however we will not buy thousands of dollars worth of each wire terminal to meet the mins.

hhhmmm ill have to look in to this i guess i really appreciate the information. the problem ive been having with depinning the plugs ,the crank angle sensor plug especially, is that they are all brittle as hell and break into pieces. im just going to do the ghettoe slice for now and look into the connector thing more. i knew you guys would have some sorta information. thanks.

Furukawa Automotive Electronics is another manufacturer of RX-7 harnesses and connectors.
|
The white and grey CAS connectors are Sumitomo. Pretty much every grey connector is.
|
As well as Yazaki connector, but their online catalogs are useless.

Well, your splitting hairs, but that's fine. |
This would be a gerat mystery to solve....maybe we can contract that guy from digging for the truth on the history channel, any leads on that?
Anyway all I need is the fan wire connectors, both ends. I could probably just buy a used one but I'll probably be needing a number of them in the future. |
