Question O2 sensor question?

The harness on my new bosch 02 sensor is about 2-3ft too short to meet the connector at the back of the UIM. Either that, or my sensor harness was spliced closer to the downpipe.

What is going on here? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,
Barban.

2-3 foot seems pretty far. where is your O2 sensor? in the midpipe? lol

i would check to make sure the connector on the harness side isn't tangled. worst case scenario you can always extend the wire...

The harness on the new sensor is about 1ft give or take. To get to the UIM I could use another foot or two.

The sensor location is stock. About an inch out of the turbos.
The harness connector is mounted on the exhaust side of the engine behind the UIM.

Mine is also a 12061 bosh 02 sensor. I guess I'll have to splice in some wire.

It really burns me that I have to waste several hours of my life because bosch cant make a harness the right length.

Thanks for the help, guys.
c'est la vie.

Upon further investigation

extending 02 sensor wiring harnesses is possibly a bad idea.
the 12061 sensors all have the same connector
harness lengths vary
go find one on the internet with lots of harness, maybe this one
