Non - Seqential question...
When going non-sequential... is wastegate porting or fuel management needed?
Current mods are aftermarket radiator, hks downpipe, jasma exhaust, apexi twin intake and *stock midpipe. |
With open exhaust mods it will be a good idea ,do it now and be safe .

i have the stock main cat....not even a high flow

It's the same as it was in sequential mode. Remember, nonsequential = full time parallel mode. Sequential = full time parallel above 4500rpm.
Wastegate porting depends on the flow of your intake and exhaust. As long as you have a cat or some stockish components in place you'll probably never see boost creep. No boost creep, no need for porting the wastegate. With stock turbos, additional fuel is strictly a matter of what boost level you are set to. So with any setup more than bone stock, it's important to have some adjustable boost control to keep boost where it's supposed to be. Extra boost is not a "bonus" you get with another mod. Dave |

However, to prevent over-boost, you will definitely need a boost controller, since the stock system cannot manage boost properly with significant flow improvements. |
Cool. So keep the stock main catted midpipe...and get a manual boost controller. I should be fine?

u have to remove the turbos anyway to go non seq properly, why not port the wastgate & be done with it, better now than later when u open up the exhaust?

Yeah im definately going to run a boost controller and i already have a PFC. Would it creep if i port it as much as possible, and run a resonated MP?
|
If your sequential is working, it is pointless to go non-sequential.
port your wastegate anyways. |
