Can see pic. Damnit!

Fixed?

Bio-Weapon 02-26-04 07:52 PM

they look awesome :)

Vette454 02-26-04 07:55 PM

Do you think I should paint the inside of the rims a gun metal grey color leaving the lips polished? I like that type of look .

DrunkenBowler 02-26-04 08:10 PM

They look alright. Not the best, but then again, it's not the worst. How much did u pay for them?

Vette454 02-26-04 08:19 PM

I got them at wholesale price through a car dealer i often do work for. 225 40 18 front , 235 40 18 rear , mounted balanced and shipped for $850

alberto_mg 02-26-04 08:49 PM

looks ok in the pic. i personally would have gotten wider rims and tires, but its up to you.

Vette454 02-26-04 08:52 PM

I was considering the ADR msport wheels in 18x8 in the front and 18x10 in the rear but i cant find a good deal on them , Ill run these for a while and probably sell them . They fit so many cars its rediculous.

neofreak 02-26-04 09:11 PM

I'd rather have stock rims.

iceman4357 02-26-04 11:53 PM

stock rims??? kidding me??? keep those, they look good and im sure they help for gripping the road.

Agreed, those look cheap and bulky.

no, I'm not kidding you.

Hehe , I like em , I think it makes the car look better than the stock wheels , but thats a matter of personal taste , some like em some dont.

That I'd have to disagree with..

Not much grip going on with those 235s in the rear.. Need some meat back there with such a low profile..

Looks nice though. :)

PVerdieck 02-27-04 08:41 AM

Yeah, he took some flames already for not getting wider with 18", but its taste.

Hey, give us a shot in daylight :). I can't get a good idea of where the tire ends and the wheelwell begins, because of the light, if you know what I mean.

Oops.. I wasn't flaming him; just responding to the "help for gripping the road" comment.. :D

I agree, a pic with more light would help. I think they look fine. :)

I like the bright contrast with your dark car.

i'll give you an A for effort.

pito13b 02-27-04 10:59 AM

Rims are nice and you got a good price. Would have been nicer with some 275's in the back.

Vette454 02-27-04 11:15 AM

I will be sure and take a pic when the sun comes out , been miserable all week here so far hopefully tommorrow this rain will quit. It sounds cheasy and you always hear this but it does look better in person , I have gotten a few compliments as well as the usaul "man you need wider tires in the rear " . Im not a street racer (yet) so for now they are doing just fine. I appreciate the constructive criticism (spelling?) , its good to hear everyones veiwpoint thats what makes a great forum.

rynberg 02-27-04 11:19 AM

You already got my comments in the other thread....:)

fastcarfreak 02-27-04 11:28 AM

i wonder how much those slow thow the car down. They look good on the car, but a wider and lighter rim would have been more suited for an FD.

Fumanchu 02-27-04 11:54 AM

Some people could care less about how much grip they have. If you don't autocross or act like an idiot on the road, what's the point in having huge rear tires??? They cost more, and you get worse gas mileage.

The rims aren't bad at all.
