Need to know thread size.....

I have a motor from an automatic that has a large threaded opening for a temp sensor for the auto trans in the front of the thermo housing. I am putting the motor in a manual car. Since I won't be using that opening...I need to get a plug for it. Anybody know the thread size it is?

You can retap it for a pipe plug as the thread that's in it is finer than a standard pipe plug and may leak if you just run a pipe plug in there. I'll double check and see if standard will work or if it is a metric pipe plug. Or you could just put the sensor in there and not worry about plugging it, or even better yet I have a polished thermostat housing for a manual without a core charge for $85 + shipping + paypal fee.....or say $90 flat out.
