Try letting go at 3,000 RPM.
Then try searching as this is a topic they like to bring up a few times a month.

Non-sequential, I launch at 4500 rpm feathering the throttle at around 70%.

I tried this for the first time last night. I was wheel hopping like a mad man. If thats not good for the car the 6 or 7 miss shifts I made that redlined the engine sure arent. :( I need a short shifter or somthing.

i think its a must you slip the clutch out slowly..i drag raced for the first time in the FD a few weeks back and same thing wheel hop. I had trouble slipping the clutch

i dump my clutch at 4, get a little spin and take off. I have street tires.

the way i have done it was slip the clutch, run around 14psi of tire pressure, burnout and i was launching the car at 7-8K rpm, but my clutch naturally slipped slightly cause of a rear main seal oil leak and boy did that rearend bang LoL!

I used to drop mine, with the stock turbos, at 3,500 rpms with a tread wear of about 250. I hopped like hell but had some good launches.

S-MAN May 3, 2004 01:25 PM

Don't dumb the clutch. Slip it out and keep your rpms up to at least 4k until its all the way out. When u dump it you get wheel hop.

And yes search for this, i know i told someone how to get a better launch on their freinds integra just a couple weeks ago, so look for that
