My car + some questions
 

Hello....

I'll get my FD in the begining of march and I have a couple of questions.
I've orderd the Bomex body-kitt from a norwegian dealer now who get's it from andys ( http://www.andysautosport.com/mazda/...bomexkits.html ) and they will ship it as soon as they get the JDM turn signals in stock :)

Anyone here that can share some experience with this kitt with me? Is it easy to fitt? Good quality? etc.

And any one who has experience with Andy's? It's kind of a hurry with the kitt because the car arives in march and the kitt should be here at the same time or before. So if they use long time on getting the JDM signal lights and shipping the kitt i have to drive around in a stock and red car for some time....

And anyone who can suggest any cool black/grey rims? I had planed to buy OZ F1 Cup but they dont have 18*9"

When I get it I'll:
Fitt the bomex body kitt
Repaint it (PAINT CODE - 44490 GREY DUPONT)(same as the GT-500 in the new Gone in 60 seconds, or at leest I think thats the Paint Code I just found it on a wed site)
Greddy front- IC
Greddy Profec e-01
New brain/computer
Take the rear spoiler off and get the one from GP Sports
Change steering wheel
And many more small jobs.

This is on my car now:

Recaro seats
Coilovers
Dump valve
Air filter
Carbon hood and spoiler
And some more stuff

Hehe, I didn't ask for opinions, mmmkay ;)

I chose this body kitt, because noe one else in Norway has it. I also wanted C-West but I want my car to be unik and I cant aford C-West. And all of my friends and I like the kitt.
As we say in Norway, taste/opinions is like the ass, split in two:)

Maybe SpoonlinRX can tell me if the kitt was easy to fitt, if it fitted good and how the quality was?

Aha... and the passenger door handle is broken :D

Btw... I didnt know you can drive a right-hand-drive car in Norway.

Btw. who will import the bodykit for you ? How much will it cost ?

You can drive RHD cars in Norway you just need good contacts who getts you the TÜV papers with chassis number. (the norwegian state is insane, the tax on the car is the same as the car costs in Japan, and skylines... you cant get them registerd here!)

http://www.stylingservice.no will import the kitt for me. It'll cost 9000 NOK deliverd in Oslo that's about 1300$ the shipping costs is BIG because he only imports one kitt at the time (he's a new dealer)

I'll sell the rims that is on, the price on mazdaspeed rims in Norway is over 7000$ I'll sell them for around 1500-3000$ depends on what people will give for them. But the shipping costs is very big so It'll probably be too expencive for you.

make sure to block off the that opening in the intercooler air box. and welcome

Well I can tell you that the kit fit well. But with any body kit you will need to do minor shit to get it to fit good. The rear bumper was a bitch to get on. Just find a good body and fiberglass man to put it on for you. The front was a little tight. There was basically no gap between hood and the bumper, so it needed a little working to get it to fit perfect. The sides skirts I am fiber glassing over the little holes in the top of them, where they want you to put screws in. But I am gonna 2 side tape them from behind. I guess biggest prob was the rear end. Once it’s on it needs a little finessing to get it perfect too. You may need to fiber glass this one seam in the bumper. As Bomex sands and smoothes all their body kits, and cuts away all the stuff they think that is wrong. On mine they just cut away a little too much on this seam in the rear bumper. Before you order that kit you might want to read the newbie stickers and plan on spending a ton of cash to fix all the stuff that will need to be fixed.

Add this to your list:
- compression check - replace engine if its weak
- check turbos - replace if not able to boost to 10psi
- replace rear suspension bushings
- fix 5th gear synchro if its screwed up
- upgrade the radiator
- redo vacuum hoses
etc

Andy's Autosport makes replica's (Which I've heard need quite a bit of work), but I think Spoolin' bought the original. So you may have a completely different experience with how it fits.

Well. It's nice to see more FD's in Europe. I hope that you'll not spend much money to get it running properly. although you'll have to do some other things before the bodykit and if you don't have the money the bodykit can wait.

Why the hell that japanese guy changed the stock seats with those??? And what steering wheel is that? I don't want to mention about the rear wing:)

Yes it is! Only a pal who told me that they were so expencive so I'm not 100% shure.

Like i told you Norway is a insane country when it comes to taxes, getting stuff shipped etc.

1pack of tic tac = over 1$
1 pack of siggaretts = 10$
1 Botle of vodka = 45$
1 gallon of gass (95 octane) = over 5$
Tax that's on everything you buy = 24%
Tax on my salary (I only work on Saturdays) = 30%

And price on_stanard_RX-8 = 65.000 AMERICAN DOLLARS!

If they sell replicas and advertise like this I think bomex would sue them, unless they forgot Copyright.

- The engine, turbos, gear synchro, diff etc is guaranteed in good condition by a japaneese work shop.

- I'm not 100% shure what "bushings" mean, but I hope all suspension problems is gone, It's coilovers on the car so the dud who fitt them should have taken care of that.

- I'll get alu radiator as soon as i get it, and change all vacuum hoses.

Every thing is well planed, my car nor gona have any problems this summer. As soon as the snow and salt is gone from the streets I'll be out cruising all day long :cool:

I even got some cash back hand if I need new apexi seals.

Off course I got money too fix up the car ant the bodykit.

I know the stock seats look better, but hopefully the recaros is better to sitt in but the stock seats are good to sitt in too so i don't know, I'll gett the car inn 7-8 weeks and I'll tell you then.

Don't know what kinda steering wheel that is only thing I know is that it's_UGLY!_

And the wing looks like hell so I'll take it of and weld the wholes before I'll get the car painted. Hopefully ill afford this wing i the end of the summer or next year:

I live in NORWAY. Thats the most expencive country inn Europe. You cant compare that with europe.

Example:

Nissan 200sx S13

Price in Germany: 3000$
Price in Norway: 14000$

BTW. 1300$ for the bomex kit is with out the JDM- turn signals and my dealer dosn't have any profit.
And I forgot to mention the HKS muffler system that's also on the car when i get it. Atleest it looks like HKS on the pichure.

The kit i wanted most is GP Sports, no one has that in Norway either, but there was something wrong with their e-mail so we couldent get a nice price offer, and it would probably be to expencive annyways.
