MSD blaster ss 8207 install
I'm 99% confident that the install for these things is as simple as it looks but I want to ask first. I don't wanna be a donkey for assuming.
Msd 8207 is the part number Just because I think someone it's going to ask, I'm going to use them because I already have 2 from my other car and they're just sitting in a box. Buying 2 more is under 100, so why not =/ |

Power fc and stock ignitor. I'm figuring its just run + to + and - to - then split the L wires to go to 2 sources instead of one. Basically a 1 for 1 swap from stock to msd.

getting closer to finishing up this project... anyone have any input on the install for these?

AGAIN, I have not done this with MSD blaster coils. My experience is solely with FC trailing coils, and ran them like this for a couple of years without any issues! |
honestly man and i dont mean to be a Debbie downer but I've had blaster coils,GM coils,MsD Digital 6 and MSD 6al and currently run AEM smart coils on a haltech. my advice would be keep stock FD coils and twin power DONE!!!!
i went to japan last year and saw a D1 drifting event and guys where running FD coils on 3 rotor cars motors making 500+HP on old Greddy E-manage ecus. The point i am trying to make is keep stuff simple and reliable. |
It's all good. I ditched the idea. I'm using the stock coils and a splitfire dspark max. It's splitfires version of the twin power.

We tend to over build these cars causing us to spend more time fixing problems than actually enjoying the car.. |
