Mine is the titanium version. Don't worry, I got it used many many years ago, and got it for very cheap I have some better pics in my build thread, but here's one showing the tip.

You can kind of see in the picture how it has an inner tip and an outer tip. That's what I was referring to for the "double sleeved" version (you can also see the double sleeve in the pics of the 80mm version you posted). I believe this version is closer to the 90sub version in diameter. I think if you would be going with the 80mm version, the sound would be slightly less than what I have. I would also imagine the twin dolphin tip version would be even a bit quieter than the single tip. I have no evidence to back this up, just my assumption.

Unfortunately, at my last track session, I didn't really know anyone else there, so I had no friends to stay back an record any audio of the car on-track at full song. Bummer, cause I really would have liked to hear what it sounds like...but could have also helped you in this situation.

When the sunroof is stilted up, it must create some sort of low pressure to let this happen. Didn't happen if the sunroof was closed so it is 100% tied to that. People still complain about my current FD which is essentially stock. Still stock cat and air pump and running great. Its just something we have to deal with. Mine even stinks up the garage more than a standard piston engine when I have it running and again, totally stock emissions wise.
So you're arguing that I'm wrong while using the exact thing that I'm saying you don't have to live with anymore? Poor electronics and old technology? OK.

I just started tuning my huge streetport single turbo FD on id1050xds pri w/ elite on NSP. Ported polished XS LIM and Turblown UIM.

Almost zero stink, not much added fuel for cold start, can idle surprisingly close to stoich.

Much cleaner running than my old tuned single turbo FC with denso 720cc and E6k.
It's amazing what modern gear will do, and apparently it's almost impossible to convince people of what said gear is capable of outside of just 'making power'.

I see, understood I think I'll probably go for the Dolpin twin tip then, just need to get a bit of money in the bank first

Making power and driving OK doesn't necessarily mean a car is tuned 'well' for street use.
That's an interesting share and I actually found a good tuner that might be able to re-tune the car. Once I have this Re-A muffler and if the droning is gone, I might keep the custom resonated mid-pip and get it tuned, we'll see how this is improved. I'll post the result here and if not good enough, I'll get a cat.

Also, I went to the track yesterday, and the photographer took a beautiful one of my car flaming, do you still flame wit cats?

Hello,

I finally received my Re-Amemiya Dolphin exhaust, very well made, a beautiful piece, it was worth the wait.

It's basically night & day compared to before, we get to hear the rotary engine much better, and it's not droning anymore, very pleasant. I didn't fully push it, but when I did a bit, it's still definitely lively, but not too much.

Thanks again for the advice!

Need more vids.

Catback only? What are you other exhaust mods?

And where'd you source it from? Shipping on these is stupid high, not to mention tariffs.

I'll do a proper video at some point, on the nearby winding roads, and then on the track

In the meantime, I can tell you that I have a custom down pipe since the car is running a single turbo. The mid pipe is from racing beat.

Edit: I bought it from RHD Japan, and yes, even for us Europeans, I got 300€ of tariffs...
