Alright my buddy has a 93 FD and right now it's bone stock, however he is looking to do some mods. So I had mentioned that I would check with the wise members of this site!

What should he start with eg:

Catback vs. Muffler
What intake?
ECU?
Downpipe?

Unfortunatly where we live there's not many people who know very much about RX-7's!

All suggestions welcome!

well everythings a matter of taste, and $$$


Catback vs. Muffler --with FD(third gen) you only replace the cat back, the muffler is not a seperate piece like earlier generations...
best perfomance wise is prob apex gt, wich is one of the loudest, and most expensive..(hks ti racing is best, but isnt just cat back it has mp 2 4 in piping, 1k price tag)


What intake? --M2 hands down, ARC looks nice 2

ECU?- apex power fc, or pettit unlimited...pfc you can tune to your mods and mod the car to hell, run bigger injectors,..great engin managment..pettit is great 2, costs abt 500 used, and will handle up to abt 14psi, but runs its own maps, you cant fine tune it to get most outa other mods( better to spend a bit more now then regret not buying best when you could)

Downpipe? something SS is optimal, but mild steel will be fine, infact vosko is sellin one cheap
