damn, well with a third gen or any gen for that matter you deffinatley want to take care of the reliability mods.

1. how many miles are on your engine now? If alot then you may want to sink some of that 7 to 8k on a rebuild and maybe while you are at it street port it.

2. If not done already you may want to get an exhaust system as the stock system is very constrictive. also intake.

3. The stock twins are nice however as far as hp and reliability are conserned you may want to go single! however doing this opens up costs on other things like

4. Front mounted intercooler

5. stand alone fuel management and the list goes on.

6. first off before I start telling you things you need to get I'm just a second gen owner and only dream of the day I get a third gen (lol). What I would do is post something up in the third gen forum and get their insight because with a third gen you have tramendous power potential however if not done exactly right (tuned and setup) your engine won't last long at all.

Anyways hope this helps! Congrats on the purchase.

Does the car already have any mods? As with any used car, also consider changing all of your fluids and filters.

I STRONGLY suggest you just do the reliability mods to start with:
- Downpipe
- aftermarket or eliminated AST
- Boost gauge

The suggestions you will get are what someone else would do in your position, not necessarily what you would do. I recommend that you hang out on the boards for a few months and read up on the popular RX-7 do-it-yourself websites. I think you'll get a better feel for the mods that you would most enjoy.
