Thats funny because when I bought mine two weeks ago Ray said he only had two left and he was not selling the last one so he could have it for warrany purposes. He said he had 30 to start with and was down to 2. Not remans though.

why do you want a new motor from malloy? You obviosuly have a pimpin car that we are all jealous over and will more than likely crack it open and port it anyways. You can more than likely rebuild your engine with new side plate, rotors, seals, etc...to fit your needs.

Or.....I'm sure you could fab something special with your carbon fiber skillz

I could have been taking his words a bit too literal. he said to me "I only got a few left these days"

But I am just glad that I have two engines and transmissions now. time to have fun rebuilding the bad ones. and not be in a rush. (unless I pop a motor)

As bad as it sounds, FD4LIFe is right. There is a shortage of remans right now. THere is a 20 motor back order. I waited 2 months and still got nothing. I ended up buying a used shortblock from another member.

Hmm, no wonder why the LSX conversions are so popular.

If you don't want to wait, why don't you just rebuild your current engine?

I cracked a few seals and trashed the housings. So that wasen't an option.

I'm convinced most rebuilds never match factory specs, which is why they don't last

my factory engine took an incredible amount of abuse for 5 years and it ran very strong....finally boost creep killed it (100% my fault)

Not the case. I have rebuilt many engines that have gone 200,000 plus n/a and 140,000 turbo etc. I have also seen many rebuilds from Mazda run just as long as the new engines.

It's all about tuning and the mods and how the engine is taken care of etc.

Exactly. Depends a lot on the engine builder also.

If you need an engine built we can arrange something in the shop...
