Well a while back I posted a couple of threads listing the problems my cousin and me were trying to fix on his newly purchased RX7. We fixed all the problems including the gas smell, which was a leaky hose, and other stereo problems. But the biggest problem is yet to fix.

The car cannot hold boost, we didn’t know when we bought it until after installing the hks exhaust and dp that it was not holding boost. We hooked up a boost gauge and found out that boost would hold around 3,000rpms but then fall from 10psi to about 5 then 0. We checked all hoses and vacuum lines for leaks, they are all fine. The only thing I can think of causing this is a damaged wastgate or the solenoid thing I have been reading up on here. Just wanted to get some feed back from you guy. Thanks.

 

Couple of things to check:

* Check valve going to the pressure chamber
* Turbo control vacuum lines and solenoids (there are 2 TC solenoids)
* Vacuum lines controlling the Charge Relief Valve and its solenoid
