Knocking From Front Of Car.

I am experiencing a knocking noise from the front of my 1996 (28,000miles) RX7.

The noise is not loud but can be heard from inside the car at parking speeds (1-5mph). It seems to be heard more when when turning from lock to lock.

Once the suspension loads up the noise disappears.

My suspicion is that it's bushes of some kind. The Anti-roll bar links have been changed by myself a little while ago.

My service is coming up soon so I may do a thorough examination underneath the car to see if anything is simply coming loose?

Has anyone experienced a similar symtom?

Yes.....

There appears to be no noise from the front once the suspension loads up.

The sound could be there and the road noise from the front may be drowning it out but I would imagine I could still hear it anyway........

It only happens when the car is hardly moving.

Hmmm......

The lack of responses is interesting!

Has anyone had any noise from the steering when turning from lock to lock at parking speeds?

Only when turning from lock to lock,

I had a simliar problem on my previous car (Citroen) which turned out to be a loose bolt on the steering rack. It could be something like that (hopefully!) but feel free to offer any suggestions.

Thanks Canman.

Does anyone know of any weak points in the steering/suspension that could be causing this?

The front drop links have recently been changed as the previous ones were badly gone.
