Do the remans come with 2mm or 3mm apex seals? Seems like all of the builders out there offer this upgrade.
|
remans are mazda oem... not upgraded at all. so oem 2 mm
|
I would not reccomend a reman if your planning on pushing the motor super hard.

Ok, say I did want the piece of mind of having 3mm seals and picked up a reman engine from Ray, what next? Send it to Pettit, or the like, to be modified?

The Mazda remans are not rebuilt by Mazda themselves. Mazda does a contract for 2-3 years with US based shops for the rebuilds. So, every 2-3 years, the shop changes. A a few years back, the quality of a reman was crap. The contract as since changed and the quality of the remans have been very good. There is no reason a reman can't take a single turbo or be "beat on". |

No i diddnt read the thread. I figured it was just to what his current setup was and not the previous.
I guess I stand corrected. |
