jeeze! 250 bucks for a starter

Is that what they usually go for? is there anywhere I can get one cheaper for my FD?

thats from a place called Napa auto parts here in chicago, thats without a core charge too, if I dont do a core exhange its 3 bills. Jeebus, time to try finding a cheaper one.

I know if my area NAPA is usually a little steep, I'd look around if you can aford to wait a couple more days.

Try and get your old one repaired. When my alternator went out, new/refurbished ones were $250 to $300. I got mine fixed at an alternator place for $50. Most alternator places can also fix starters too.

That is awesome news/info for the alternator. Mine just crapped out on me yesterday, causing a 3 hour fiasco with me and some other guys. I was pissed when I found out they costed $300 new, and $250+ for a rebuild. I'm definately going to see if I can get mine done for that cheap, or anywhere near for that matter.
