IR Performance motor mounts

I received my mounts today from IR. They are excellent quality. I opted for the harder polyurethane as I will be going single soon. I will update this thread with a full review & driving impressions when I get them installed.

I actually saw where you posted instructions for another member. After reading, I think I have the jest of it. But if I need any help, I'll hit ya up.

Yes I posted that. Good luck with the install and hope you enjoy them. Make sure you don't over tighten them. Tighten the nut until the red poly bushing just starts to compress.

Install complete: It wasn't bad. Took a little time and things were nice and grimy down there, but it went smoothly. I ended up having to remove both arms. Things were a little tight so it was just easier to remove the steal arm, put the bushing in, and bolt it back up. Apparently, you can just swap the bushing with the steel arm, but I took the long way. My aluminum arm had to be removed, as they require modification for the new bushing. Overall, a straight forward job with jack & stands.

Driving impressions: These things are amazing. My 2nd gear grind is gone. The entire drivetrain feels much more solid. My shifts are much more direct. The slight vibration that Ihor spoke of is there. Honestly, I like it. It's BARELY noticeable, but it is there. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and results of this mod. I highly recommend them to everyone.

As Ihor mentioned to me, he does have 2 variations of stiffness when ordering the mounts. I went with the stiffer ones, and glad that I did. Beautiful....

I want to add that when looking at the pics, the left bolt looks tighter & red bushing more compressed. This is an illusion, as they are the same.

yep.....poly motor mounts, Garfinkle engine torque brace, Pettit short shift kit (with nylon bushing), and Amsoil GL-4 synthetic trans fluid combined to give me wonderfully positive, solid shifts...better than even the S2000 (which is one of the best in the world) imo because it is more of a mechanical, direct feel

Thanks for the feedback. It does looks like you have the mounts slightly over-tightened. Tighten the bottom nut until the red bushing just starts to compress. You won't need a torque brace with my mounts.

Your welcome, great product man, I'm truly impressed. I will loosen up the bolts a little..... I'll also get that aluminum arm in the mail to ya.
